Level 2 Vinyasa Yoga - This class builds on the practitioners' grasp of basic yoga poses, with a breath-based flowing format. An intermediate exploration of more challenging asana is incorporated, with modifications encouraged as needed. Final relaxation is accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls.

Intro to Meditation- Various meditation and relaxation techniques are explored, including guided meditation, breath work, mindfulness, heart-based meditation and yoga nidra. Final relaxation is accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls.

Chandra Luna Flow Yoga - Many traditional cultures revere the moon as a manifestation of the divine feminine force in nature and the sun as a manifestation of the divine masculine. These force both reside within us, according to the teachings of Hatha yoga. Lunar (Chandra) energy is cool, receptive, and inwardly focused while solar (Surya) energy is warm, active, and outwardly oriented. Balance your energies through Chandra Luna Flow Yoga. We will soften into our practice in a nurturing safe space, where sun and moon forces are brought into balance within us. The late evening class is the perfect time to prepare our bodies, minds and emotional being to begin our journey into sleep and dreams.

Starfish Kids After School Yoga - I developed this program especially for my classes of special students in the Bloomfield School System. Working alongside teacher Gladys Navas and her assistants, we discovered for ourselves the many benefits the practice of yoga had on the individuals in the class. The starfish in nature adapts to whatever situation it finds itself in. If it loses a limb, it will grow another. While we cannot always do that as people, we can learn to adapt to our unique circumstances. This is the basis of the Starfish Yoga Program for Special Needs Kids. Each child is unique and will respond to certain stimuli. Once we find the best way to reach that child, the practice of yoga unfolds for her or for him. The children become more calm and they participate more fully in the activity. We have seen so many wonderful successes with these kids in such short time spans. At the end of each class, the children lie down for “shavasana” with eyes closed. To see the kids relaxing so calmly, peacefully and with less anxiety is always a special reward for myself, the teachers and the parents.
